On a whim, Jack suggested that we go visit Kim, so with some "casual" probing questions I figured out her work and class schedule for this weekend and we hit the road.

As we head home, I can't help but think about what I'm going home to.  I have a job but the hours are casual and I can't count on a regular income, or a predictable work schedule.  While I'm excited to have lots of time to scrapbook and enjoy the Spring weather,  it would be nice to have some predictability and routine in my life right now, as well ( Read more... )

Monday morning I drove to Swift Current with Charlotte and picked up wannabamidwife (aka Fred) and her kids to attend the official launch of the midwifery practice down there.  sagefemmefarm was there as well, with two of her kids, and a local doula as well.  After a quick lunch and an hour at the park to let the kids run off some energy, we gathered at the local hospital ( Read more... )
